Little Bird

Somewhere like you little bird,
Like a child,
Out for the top,
She can reach it,
With a playful touch.

Somewhere like you little bird,
Cycles of thoughts go round and round,
Like you circling up there
Stop…fall to the ground, dive
Oh the ground!

Something like you little bird,
She has feet, feet, feet that burn,
You have wings that breathe

She’s like a child,
But not told what to do

Her mother
I know her,
In this pool of water,
Goes round and round and round

Somewhere like you,
Like a child,
Out for the top,
She can reach it,
With a playful touch,
Somewhere like you little bird,
We don’t need a guide,
Or mountain man advice,
Only you with me today,
Flying.

Friendship

In your picture I stand alone,

Light in all its tones,
There grey wood trace

In the carvings of your face
My fearful lines
Friendship mixed with warm blood wine,
Just missing the bottle
for another day.
Trust I never have,
In that way I wished I had,
But that is for no one I ever held,
So it’s not just in your realm,
But trust I have to your way,
White and black to grey,
Things that have fallen when we hold hands
The sky and our footsteps in sand
We look, wait, talk and scold,
When things do not unfold,
We look, wait, talk and sing,
For those precious moments in the wings,
For us we fly together,
Apart sometimes and sometimes never.
